Exchange program builds skills and understanding

Mecrus and European joint venture partner, FAM, have begun an employee exchange program in order to build a stronger working partnership.

Currently, one Australian staff member from Mecrus is spending two years in Germany working in the FAM business. Two FAM employees are in Australia developing their expertise in mine development and specialised equipment requirements.

“The staff interchange is a sign of a maturing relationship with FAM,” said Mecrus managing director, Barry Richards. “We’re developing an ongoing exchange program that will help to develop our Australian skills and improve understanding of Australian materials handling requirements.”
